Filming and Editing in Final CutOur brief was to film and edit a short opening sequence in order to practice working on title sequences for our film.
To practice our title sequences we chose to create a short open sequence ourselves. To learn and help improve ours we watched two opening sequences that used tracking shots, these were Delicatessen and Immortal beloved.
After watching these we created our own, to the song 'Banana Pancake'. We used Final Cut Pro after filming to edit the sound and titles over the top of it. It was the first time we have edited, and it really helped our editing skills and our knowledge about Final Cut Pro.
Together we filmed the tracking shot using the Canon 650 camera, we used a tracking shot to hover over the different objects that we had laid. For our work we used objects that helped symbolise two people going to the gym. We used two towels, a sports bottle, and some gym gear to help even more to symbolise the gym lifestyle.
